Ratatat is quite probably my favorite music discovery so far in 2008. (thanks to hypem.com earlier this year)
You'll no doubt turn on a whole bunch of people to them, which is great, they deserve it.
freakin loving it
I discovered Ratatat through a Pownce post Kevin made a while back. Absolutely adore them. They're right at the top of my favourites list for sure. So THANK YOU Kevin ;)
Well, I hate to say it but in my opinion their first original album called "Ratatat" was way better than everything else they did after that. It's kinda sad, but, yeah...
I completely agree with Henning's statement. Their self-titled debut album was by far their strongest work, however if this has the Kevin Rose stamp of approval on it, I'll go torrent that shit right now.
Ratatat is also a favorite group of mine! I heard of them from a friend a couple of years ago, and I was hooked after that. Can't wait to hear their new album.
Agreed. It's fucking mesmerizingly good.
Good stuff, Kevin. Thanks.
a friend turned me on to them 3 yrs ago. saw them open for The Faint - and they rocked. check out any Ratatat mashups - they are always really great. just do a search for that. adds interesting vocals to their instrumentalia.....
If you like Ratatat Kevin you should give Coconut Records a listen to. I have them up on my library on last.fm
Ratatat and Cassie remix. Brilliant.

kevin, ive been working on my squarespace for a couple of weeks (thanks for the recommendation by the way, im absolutely loving it!). I was wondering how you set up your tag system on the right here, I guess i've missed that part in my set up or something, anyways, when you get a chance, let me know, it would be greatly appreciated, late.
KEVIN ROSE CHECK OUT THE MUXTAPE I ADDED
Amazing Band IMO:

This album is nice to just have on whenever....I first saw them opening up for bjork in LA (great show) You should check out Menomena! You'd probably dig them.
Doh! I bought the DRM infected version on iTunes. Still a great album. I hope they release a iTunes Plus upgrade in the near future.
Wow, Kevin, thanks to you I discovered an awesome band.
wow good stuff..thanks for the rec...these guys any good live?
That is a pretty sweet album. Ratatat is good, but also lately i've been loving Apes & Androids, and TV on the Radio. I think i saw/ heard somewhere you were into them as well.
Downloaded via Amazon. Good Shit, thanks for the pointer.
very nice
