Friends —
Happy August. Same Kevin Rose newsletter, new email host (I'm now using Substack; nothing to change on your end!).
So much to bring you up to speed on!
First, for all the Diggnation fans, we've launched two episodes, a reunion episode of Diggnation, and a trip down memory lane episode recapping what we’ve been up to these last few years. It was great to connect and laugh with Alex again; it felt like the old days :). Alex and I are already scheming how to do this on the semi-regular (every month or two).
In other podcast news, my podcast, "The Kevin Rose Show," is being overhauled. I've decided to kill all the ads (even though we had some great ones 🙏). Also, I'm slowing down the new episodes to 1-2 per month.
I've noticed many guests on the podcast circuit repeating the same information; given the number of podcasts out there, that content is abundant. Now, when you see me publish a new episode, you can be sure I'm doing so because I've found a unique conversation worth your time.
The Move to Substack
Also, I'm launching a paid private community on Substack dedicated to living at the edges of technology, investing, and health/wellness.
If you've followed me long enough, you'll remember me tweeting about Bitcoin in 2011, blogging about Tesla domination a decade ago, or, more recently, predicting the meteoric surge of NVIDIA with Tim Ferriss. As much as I'd love to take the credit for these insights, they've come from surrounding myself with those who like to embrace moonshot thinking. This community will be an extension of this circle, including more intimate conversation, chat, private podcasts, and Q&A — all dedicated to finding and discussing the next big thing.
(A very important note. I know we're all at different stages of life, and if this membership is too financially burdensome, no one will ever be denied due to cost. More on how to contact us here)
Content Up Next…
Article: ARM Domination
Reading the tea leaves, it appears Microsoft will move to ARM based processors over the next decade, ditching x86, just as Apple has. In this upcoming article, I'll speak with experts and try to create a timeline, along with the players and stocks to watch.
Podcast: The Future of Sleep, Insights with Dr. Matt Walker
Releasing this week: In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Matt Walker, Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at UC Berkeley and founder of the Center for Human Sleep Science. Dr. Walker shares groundbreaking insights from his latest sleep research (including how they can now read your dreams) and discusses innovative approaches to improving sleep quality.
Podcast: Demystifying Ketamine Therapy with Dr. Jennifer Ellice
In this upcoming episode, we discuss Ketamine therapy for depression, anxiety, and PTSD with Dr. Jennifer Ellice, who has treated hundreds of patients (myself included). In this deep episode, we cover the real dangers of recreational use, transformational experiences, and my own journey. You’ll even head into the clinic to watch me undergo a treatment firsthand. Note: For those who are concerned about the abuse of this drug, you have every right to be; I won't be pushing an agenda of use, nor do I continue treatments. That said, we'll cover the potential help this compound can have on people with severe treatment-resistant conditions.
Live Podcast & Member Q&A: Zen Master Henry Shukman
You're not alone if you've tried meditation, but it hasn't stuck. This episode will combine a deep dive into setting yourself up for success, all the way through what it feels like to live a non-dual experience (and what the heck that even is). I also want to leave plenty of room for member Q&A. Keep an eye on our Substack chat for your chance to ask your question on the podcast!

Lastly, here are a couple new products I’m loving…
The Best iPhone Case with a Stand
I was recently looking for an iPhone case with a built-in stand. I've tried two high-ranking cases: the Anker (I love the swivel function) and the TORRAS case. Ultimately, the TORRAS edged out Anker for me. The TORRAS has military-grade drop protection (the shockproof case passed 12FT Mil-grade shockproof certification. 8000+ rigorous drop tests at 50+ different angles) and MagSafe compatibility. The case is also very slim, and is smudge-proof.

Creatine for Brain Health (and muscle support)
When most people think about creatine as a supplement, they typically think of its multi-decade use for muscle strength and size. However, quite a few studies now point to the cognitive benefits of supplementing creatine. For some (me), creatine in monohydrate form can cause stomach instability, but the HCL form is proving more gentle in that regard. The brand CON-CRET was an early advocate of this form, but I've avoided their products due to the FD&C color additives, which I don't trust. Thankfully, CON-CRET recently removed them, so they are now my goto brand for creatine.

That’s it for now, thanks for your ongoing support,
Looks like the TORRAS case link is to one without a stand.
